FAQs

Three things: the concept and planning involved, the shoot time, and the editing time. After a short conversation about your goals, I send a written quote before anything is booked.

Multiple locations or shoot days, motion graphics, on-camera talent, and longer edits. Your quote lists each item, so you can see what to trim if the budget is fixed.

MP4 as standard, ready for web and social. For broadcast, agency, or archival work: MOV masters, including Apple ProRes at full 4K resolution with 10-bit colour, the same format used in professional post-production pipelines.

Sometimes. Delivered videos are final files, not editable projects, and we do not keep source footage and edit files indefinitely. If your logo, branding, address, or contact details change, ask us first. If the material is still available the update is quick. If it is not, we quote the change as a new project.
We keep delivered files for a period after a project, but we do not guarantee it. Keep your own copy of everything we send you. If you need us to hold source files long-term, tell us before the shoot so it can be arranged.

That one is better placed on the pricing pages than the service pages, since it’s the kind of thing people read while comparing packages.

Tips – Planning Your Video

  • Start with one goal. A video that tries to say everything says nothing. Decide the single action you want viewers to take.
  • Write your key messages, not a script. Three to five points you must cover. Natural delivery beats reading, unless we use the teleprompter.
  • If using the teleprompter, send the script early. Reading your own words a few times before the shoot makes delivery natural.
  • Choose wardrobe for camera. Solid colours, no fine stripes or tight checks, and nothing that rustles against a microphone.
  • Think about your location’s sound. HVAC, fridges, and street noise are the most common problems. A quiet hour matters more than a pretty corner.
  • List your b-roll. The product being used, the team working, the space itself. Cutaway footage is what makes an interview watchable.
  • Prepare the space like a photo shoot. Whatever is behind you is in every frame.
  • Plan for more time than you think. Lighting and sound setup take time; rushed delivery on camera always shows.
